Following this week’s official launch of our new Global Village Sunshine Coast campus, we are proud to announce the forthcoming opening of our second new centre in as many months, Global Village Perth – Sunset Coast.
Our first location in Western Australia is Perth’s only beachside school, located just 2 minutes’ walk from beautiful Scarborough Beach yet only 15 minutes from the city centre. Scarborough Beach comes alive in the evenings as its beachfront cafés, restaurants and bars attract tourists and locals alike to watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean. This combination of beach, city and vibrant social scene offers students the best of all worlds and often draws comparisons with Manly in Sydney, with student feedback being every bit as positive.
Formerly Sunset Coast International English School, our new centre features 10 bright and breezy classrooms built around a spacious central atrium, with wi-fi and computer access throughout the school and the range and quality of facilities that GV students and partners have come to expect.
The area around the school is home to a wide choice of different accommodation, dining and entertainment options, not to mention one of Australia’s finest surf beaches. Working Holiday students will enjoy the ample opportunities for work provided by the vibrant local hospitality industry.
In practical terms, GV Perth will open for business on Monday 2nd August 2010, with IELTS, Cambridge FCE & CAE classes scheduled to start from Monday 13th September 2010. Enrolments are now being accepted and should be sent to perth@gvenglish.com; tuition and related fees for 2011 are being sent out separately and our published fees for GV Perth are valid with immediate effect.
In the lead-up to opening, the usual Global Village online resources, including a GV Perth website page, school blog, social networking and photo gallery sites, will be announced to you as they go live. Regular updates will also be posted on our agent information blog at www.gvupdate.com and comprehensive details of accommodation options and other practicalities will be published in the coming weeks.
